The just is close to the people’s heart, but the merciful is close to the heart of God.

My main concern is meeting with public because my main commitment, main interest is promotion of human value, human affection, compassion and religious harmony.

Faith is permitting ourselves to be seized by the things we do not see.

But for my faith in God, I should have been a raving maniac.

Politics have no relation to morals.

We are separated from God on two sides; the Fall separates us from Him, the Tree of Life separates Him from us.

Commodities such as gold and silver have a world market that transcends national borders, politics, religions, and race. A person may not like someone else’s religion, but he’ll accept his gold.

Questioning my spiritual life has always been germane to what I was writing. Always. It’s because I’m not quite an atheist and it worries me. There’s that little bit that holds on: ‚Well, I’m almost an atheist. Give me a couple of months.‘

You can be rich in spirit, kindness, love and all those things that you can’t put a dollar sign on.

I think those who have a terminal illness and are in great pain should have the right to choose to end their own life, and those that help them should be free from prosecution.

Justice consists in doing no injury to men; decency in giving them no offense.

Prayer is not an old woman’s idle amusement. Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action.

The truth is, if we don’t learn to submit to authority, we won’t ever learn to submit to God.

Heaven gives us hope and makes our present burdens easier to bear.
